Mickey reveals to Julian and David that the charges are dismissed and they can sue for the injuries. Hayley visits Mickey and forgives him. Four months later, Cisco proves that DeMarco works for the Juarez Cartel, and Mickey demands that the city pay a settlement, which they agree to. The team receives a picture of DeMarco's corpse from Moya. Leaving for a vacation, Mickey is arrested by a cop who notices blood coming from his trunk. When the trunk is opened, they see Sam Scales dead inside.
Mújol maintains her innocence from jail, but video of her interrogation leaves Mickey concerned. At Lisa's arraignment, Mickey is taunted by prosecutor Andrea Freemann, Maggie's friend, and he provides Lisa with a contract to her life rights to cover her $2 million bail. Lorna confides her worries about Cisco to Izzy, and Mújol is bailed pasado by Henry Dahl, a true crime podcaster, but Mickey refuses to allow him to produce a series about Mújol. Lorna confronts Cisco, who admits that Kaz protected him from being arrested for a drug run and went to prison instead.

Hearing Lícito Siegel had a heart attack, Mickey visits him in the hospital, and considers that the drug dealer who Edén ratted pasado, Hector Moya, may have had her killed in retaliation. Finding Abogados en Palermo Lorna and Cisco back from their honeymoon, Mickey is contacted by Hayley, who asks him to help pasado her old babysitter, Eddie Rojas, accused of carjacking. Izzy asks Lorna to review a contract for a friend to choreograph dance for a tv show.
And in the final moments of Season 2, Mickey narrowly avoided getting hit by a speeding car whose driver was very obviously sending him a message. Could this mysterious attacker be connected to Salvación's case, or is it one of the many other enemies Mickey has made in his career? We'll see!
Given the show is based on the Michael Connelly novels series of the same name – of which there are seven books – there certainly isn't a lack of source material for the show to draw its plot from.
Oh-joo sends his secretary into hiding, and associates of Moon-sook keep the trial out of the news. Meanwhile, Jae-yi looks into Sang-pil's past. After obtaining the file on Choi Jin-ae's case, she learns that her mother disappeared on the same date that Jin-ae died. She goes to Seoul to see Dae-woong, and he tells her Sang-pil did not meet her by accident but followed her to Kisung. Later, she searches Sang-pil's apartment and finds his notes and photos from the past. She confronts him and he begins to tell her the things of the past.
He soon finds trasnochado that she was back in LA and back in the life. Far from saving her, Mickey may have been the one who put her in danger.
After she is assaulted, Moon-sook is more popular than ever. Ki-ho leads a group of her supporters in a demonstration. Her position on the Supreme Court is nearly assured. Jae-yi suspects that Sang-pil is hiding something from her. When she confronts him he confirms it and apologizes, but says he cannot tell her yet. Sang-pil learns that Moon-sook was the one who sent him the book with details on the crimes of those in power in Kisung. He realizes she planned to use his desire for revenge to get rid of her old associates.

A police detective under Oh-joo's influence. At one time, he was an honorable police officer. However, he became corrupt in order to get money to pay for his wife's medical bills.
He killed Glory Days after she was subpoenaed to testify against De Marco, silencing her for good so that his involvement with the drug cartel would remain a secret.
